My name is Will, and I plan on walking across America from the Atlantic to the Pacific. My goal is to raise $100,000 for the Cancer Research Institute. I will be carrying a laptop and camcorder along the journey to record videos and upload them regularly right here on YouTube. The Janis Warren Walk For Ovarian Cancer is an event in West Bloomfield, MI which took place on September 21, 2008. This first time event raised over $50,000 to help research a cure through the Karmanos Cancer Institute in their fight to stop Ovarian cancer. We hope to raise awareness and to continue this successful event on annual basis. This walk is named in memory of Janis Warren who sadly lost her battle in April of 2007. I wanted to participate in the 3 day walk for the Susan G Komen Foundation so support research for breast cancer but there is no way that I would be able to raise $2,300. I tried to find a few others but they also require you to fundraise over a thousand dollars just to participate.
Does anyone know of similar walks that are in Chicagoland that are less expensive?

I was just listening to the radio and I heard there is a walk for breast cancer and I would like to do the walk. Does anyone know when (i think i heard it ends on the 7 but im not sure) and where it is??
