The team Lynda’s Ladies was created to honor Jen’s mother (Lynda) who is an 18 year breast cancer survivor. Lynda was given a 20% chance to live for 5 years, but due to a clinical trial – she is still with us today.
Lynda’s Ladies has participated in The Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walks for Breast cancer since 2008. The first year Jennifer walked with a friend, Laura, and since then Jennifer has walked solo in DC, and now in San Diego. These walks benefit the Susan G. Komen Fund and the National Philanthropic Breast Cancer Fund. The walks are 60 miles over the course of three days.

Welcome to the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure.
The walkers from the 2010 San Francisco Susan G Komen 3 Day Walk are cheered and congratulated as they enter the Marina Green park.
Over 1,400 people participated in the walk and raised over $3M!! Congratulations to all. A very emotional event.

I’ve been asked numerous times why on earth am I doing this. I’ve kept it light – it doesn’t feel like my story to tell. But really, it’s the story of how one person unknowingly impacted me, and will continue beyond her death.
She was a wonderful woman, mother, sister, grandmother – and most important – friend.
