Light the Night from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Unlike the Susan walk, you don’t need a minimum donation to be able to participate. More than 40% of all childhood cancers are a form of blood cancer, usually Leukemia.

    The Avon Foundation has a walk each year, in NYC and other large US cities.

    American Cancer Society has Making Strides against Cancer each year.

    Vatennis, the Avon Foundation funded the research that led to the development of Herceptin. The Foundation is separate from the company.

    The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is a great one. Also, local hospitals generally have fundraisers for their breast cancer centers. I would not recommend the Avon Walk because most of the money they raise goes to Avon, not to breast cancer research.
