I am participating in the Susan Koman Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk. I am in need of donations and fundraising ideas. Any pointers?

At my work, Relay for Life, for cancer research, gets a pretty big slice of the action. We hold a ‘nifty fifty’ raffle. You draw up a grid of 50 squares, and everyone pays $2 a square. The winner is drawn once the squares are all sold, and is given $50. The surplus $50 goes into the kitty. We do this every week, and it’s always popular. It requires hardly any organisation, no special equipment, and you don’t have to go looking for raffle prizes, which means it’s low effort.

Best wishes
