Avon Walk for Breast Cancer – Boston 2008

This year, I volunteered to be a crew member at a rest stop on the Avon Walk route in Boston. I was able to see the walk from “the other side”.
The theme of our stop was O’Malley’s pub, offering the best “Gator-beer” on the walk route. The crew at O’Malley’s Pub consisted of Jack and Midge O’Malley, Meaghan O’Malley, Joseph and Diane Mastal, Rasheeda Grant, Peggy Kazdan and your’s truly.
Saturday dawned rainy and cold. Despite the weather, spirits were high and we set up our tents and tables. We were located along the Charles River next to the Science Museum. We greeted the walkers with green beads and candies. On Sunday, the weather could not have been better. Our Quick Stop B was located in Milton MA,
